Baptism...unplanned?!?

 Holisssss! Welcome back to another day in the best area in the best mission in the world🎊

So this week we had planned and planned and grinded so that Bianca could get baptized yesterday, but her dad still won't sign the paper with his permission and he won't let us come get to know him. Ugh he is so frustrating, but we wrote him a kind note to explain that his daughter's life will only be more blessed by getting baptized. She had this desire to make a covenant with God that only will being blessings so fingers crossed for that! It's in God's hands now! I know that she will get baptized soon and that the heart of her dad will be softened. If you could include her in your prayers, that would be phenomenal!!🤍😊💫

Anywhosies, we did have a baptism and it was such a crazy whirlwind. Joana (Ana) was in lessons months ago and then the missionaries lost contact with her, but she came back and had resolved whatever issues she already had, so she was able to get baptized! Her baptism was interesting because immediately immediately after the confirmation she left without saying bye to anyone. Also she doesn't have a phone, so we're hoping we see her again. There's a lot of work to do post-baptism to help her learn and grow more, but hey she made a covenant with God and received his spirit and that will help her in her life. 🤞😁

The work here is good, it is progressing and we are finding those people who are ready for baptism. I don't have a ton of crazy experiences that happened this week, but check my fotos to see what really goes on in the mission lol😅

Escrituraaaa: I was reading in Ether 2 and 3 about the problems that the Jaredites faced in crossing the ocean and here are 4 simple lessons that we can learn from the experience of the brother of Jared in how to recieve revelation.

🛶 God works in mysterious ways and not always the same ways. God immediately responded to the question of the air that they needed to breathe and told them exactly what to do. Then with the question about light, God asks "what would you have me do?" basically, you have a brain, so what do YOU think would work. And finally as far as guidance and steering through the waves, God simply says trust me, I've got you! 3 very different responses, but all are answers from God.

🛶Just because you are waiting for one answer from the Lord doesn't mean you can't ask more questions. He's not a vending machine that gets backed up by one request. He is the fountain of all knowledge. Turn to him and trust in his timing!

🛶Sometimes God tells us what WON'T work or we feel that it is wrong, but we don't know what WILL work. This is when he wants us to study it out and move forward with faith. 

🛶God can magnify the tiniest of efforts.The brother of Jared thought and thought and came up with the solution of rocks. By small and simple things, God can work miracles. Bring him your stones and he will work wonders with them.

I invite you all to read these two chapters this week and to send me any other insights or lessons that you learn about how to receive revelation. God is a God of miracles and of revelation. It is ongoing! He's got answers and guidance for us, of so I testify I the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
